Renowned pianist Valentina Lisitsa gave a concert at the Russian Embassy in Ottawa

On June 2, 2015 famous soloist Valentina Lisitsa performed masterpieces of the great Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky in commemoration of 175th anniversary of his birth, as well as magnificent works of Sergei Rachmaninoff, Alexander Scriabin and Sergei Prokofiev. 

Members of the diplomatic corps, Russian community and Canadian guests enjoyed splendid Russian classical music. Valentina artfully played her favorite Rachmaninoff’s masterpiece Piano Concerto №2 which Toronto music lovers missed back in April 2015. The audience was inspired by her talent, charm and beauty, her courage in standing for what she believes is right, regardless of any pressure.
