Comment by the Embassy spokesperson with regard to recent remarks by Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland on the “Skripal case” in Parliament

Canadian Foreign Minister’s slanderous remarks are reprehensible and inadmissible. They overlook the basic principle of due process given that the investigation is on-going and no evidence so far has been produced.

UK’s continuous denial of Russian requests for concrete data, including the sample of an alleged substance, as well as for consular access to Russian citizen Yulia Skripal, are especially troubling.
