The G20 Summit has taken place in Saint-Petersburg, Russia

The Summit’s working session focused primarily on the global economic situation and the issue of tax evasion by large corporations. The participants of the Summit pointed out that the recovery of the global economy from the crisis of 2008 is not yet complete; there are still problems which need to be addressed. Among the main challenges which the global economy faces at this point G20 leaders emphasized growing volatility of financial markets, slow growth, high unemployment rates, fragmentation of the European financial sector.

In order to tackle these problems and to put the global economy on the path of firm, steady and stable growth, the participants of the Summit adopted the Saint-Petersburg Action Plan. Its goals are the following: to stimulate economic activity, to create new jobs, to support economic recovery, to reduce short-term risks.


The decisions made at the G20 Summit have been fixed in the Summit’s Final Declaration.
